Travelling across county borders should be safe and easy. We work with several neighbouring counties to make your travel as seamless as possible.

Ticket cooperation in Norrland

With the ticket cooperation, it is now even easier to travel across county borders. The transport authorities in Norrbotten, Västerbotten, Jämtland, Västernorrland, Luleå public transport and Skellefteå buss are working together to update the ticket system to a new national standard. 

This means, for example, that you can travel between these counties on the same bus ticket. Everyone has their own app, but if you are on a temporary visit to another county, you do not need to download another app if you have the tabussen.nu app, Norrbotten, Jämtland or Din Tur - they contain the whole of Norrland. 

The Norrland journey (Norrlandsresan)

Norrlandsresan is a ticket collaboration with the four northernmost counties in Sweden. The tickets are available as single tickets, period tickets and punch tickets. 

The ticket is valid for the selected route, including changes and transfers between different transport companies.
The Norrlandsresan period ticket is also valid at Norrtåg trains, for example when travelling between Örnsköldsvik and Umeå.

The ticket can be purchased on the bus with a credit/debit card or at one of Länstrafiken's bus stations.

The Coast of Norrland (Norrlandskusten)

We also have a concept called Norrlandskusten which runs along the coast between Umeå and Haparanda. It is a collaboration between Länstrafiken Norrbotten and Västerbotten together with the transport company that runs the buses. The lines that serve the coast of Norrland ares 100, 20 and 12.
